Abbeyfield chase the rainbow
Across the country, residents of Abbeyfield are putting rainbows in their windows to support our front line workers and the NHS.
Across the country, residents of Abbeyfield are putting rainbows in their windows to support our front line workers and the NHS.
At Abbeyfield, our residents have also joined the campaign and adorned their homes with rainbows.
We caught up with the residents at Ivy House who asked their resident artist, Susie, to paint one across the living room window.
"We used acrylic paints to paint the window but we love it so much it may just have to be a permanent feature. We've really come together as a house to do what we can to support our wonderful NHS - each week we clap for the staff out of our bedroom windows. There is such a sense of community, it's really moving.
"We are lucky at Ivy House to live right next to a nature reserve which some residents chose to walk round fresh air and exercise. Plus we have a lovely front garden where we often sit to soak up this wonderful weather."
