General Assistant, Locks Heath, Southampton

We are looking for a General Assistant to help maintain a clean environment in all areas of the house to maximise residents' comfort and overall enjoyment of their surroundings. You will ensure all communal areas of the house are clean and tidy at all times and to the required standards.

As a General Assistant at Hill House, you'll help maintain a clean environment in all areas of the house to maximise residents' comfort and overall enjoyment of their surroundings. You will ensure all communal areas of the house are clean and tidy at all times and to the required standards.

The role of General Assistant is varied, it covers, cleaning, laundry and kitchen assistant shifts between 8am and 8pm, this can involve assisting preparation of breakfast, collecting, clearing and washing all dishes, evenings it is serving meals and evening drinks along with dishwashing. Daily cleaning of communal and Residents Rooms, bathrooms etc, in Laundry sorting all personal washing, bed linen, kitchen laundry, table linen, washing, drying and ironing as you go.

Abbeyfield Court is a welcoming and friendly Home, where we provide weekly activities for our residents to enjoy. We are located in Locks Heath close to the town centre 

On a daily basis the general assistant will work with supporting the chef to serve meals during lunch and tea, complete kitchen duties and light food preparation

We are a small team of 6 staff that are looking for someone to fit in and work with us to provide a happy home, clean environment, with freshly cooked meals and fun activities to enhance the lives of older people
