General Assistant, Wendover, Buckinghamshire

As a General Assistant (Bank) at Abbeyfield House in Wendover, Buckinghamshire, you'll help maintain a clean environment in all areas of the house to maximise residents' comfort and overall enjoyment of their surroundings. You will ensure all communal areas of the house are clean and tidy at all times and to the required standards and assist with the preparation and serving of meals to our residents.

Location: Abbeyfield House, Dobbins Lane, Wendover, Buckinghamshire, HP22 6BP

Salary: £9.14 per hour

Hours: Bank / Casual Positions Available

Abbeyfield House is situated in the popular village of Wendover. The location is easy to get to and has excellent links by public transport. We cater for 13-18 residents, 2 meals per day and a light tea of an afternoon. Mel is the House Manager whom is very approachable and passionate about her role.  The team of people who you will be working with are very caring and here at Abbeyfield Wendover, there are good working vibes. The General Assistant will support the Cook.

A General Assistant’s role consists of cleaning the communal areas of the house, assisting the Cook with meal service and serving meals to our residents. You will also be responsible for clearing the tables and assisting with the washing up.  You will ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and tidy and safe at all times.  You will also assist with housekeeping chores when necessary.

We are a charity organisation who provide high quality housing for over 55’s. We pride ourselves on offering a service which assists in alleviating loneliness and providing two freshly cooked meals a day for our residents. We engage with our residents and encourage interaction through activities and outings.
