Burnley Society

Welcome to The Burnley Society – life usually begins at 30 or 40, but at Abbeyfield it starts at 65! Our sheltered homes could be what you are looking for if you're young at heart and you want more time to enjoy life. Maybe you feel lonely on occasion and perhaps shopping and cooking are a chore? Are you worried about personal safety and increasing costs – especially of heating? Is the upkeep of your home becoming difficult to manage? Then our home, Abbeyfield House, may be the answer.

The Abbeyfield Burnley Society aims to enhance the lives of older people. The society is run by a group of local professional volunteers and has one sheltered living house

Our residents enjoy life all the more because they know that the people who support them are doing this because they believe that older people belong at the heart of their communities.
