Welcome to our house

Situated on a quiet residential street in Sherwood, Nottingham, Sycamore House is a popular 42 bed residential care home.

Our fantastic staff will support you in making your own decisions about how you want to live your life. We recognise the importance of maintaining relationships with family and friends and will offer you every opportunity to pursuing hobbies and interests.

Spend time with the other residents in one of our many spacious communal areas, or relax in the beautiful garden, complete with plenty of sitting areas and stunning flower beds.

Understanding the importance of staying active and engaged in later life, we organise a wide range of activities and social events that you are welcome to join in with if you choose. We talk to each resident about the sort of activities they enjoy to ensure that our busy social calendar includes something for everyone. We have our own library of books and films and often visiting entertainers, speakers and local school children. We provide a computer with internet access for residents to use with help and support for those new to using a computer. We arrange trips on a regular basis and we will ask you about places you would like to visit when we are making plans. In the past we have visited shopping centres, gardens and garden centres, theatres and local attractions, too.

Mealtimes st Sycamore House are an opportunity for socialising, with food being at the heart of many celebrations and special occasions. All of your meals and drinks are provided, served in our communal dining room. Hot and cold drinks and snacks are always available. We make sure that mealtimes are unhurried and that staff are available to offer assistance if necessary, encouraging independence wherever possible.

For loved ones who come to visit, we can usually accommodate overnight stays if you wish.
