Welcome to Abbeyfield Court, Sidmouth.

Abbeyfield Court, is a retirement home offering sheltered housing which has accommodation for 28 residents. Ideally located, it is close to Sidmouth seafront and within easy reach of the Fore street shopping area. The parish church and market place are just a flat easy walk away and bus stops for trips beyond the town are just across the road.

The house is set on four floors, all accessible by lift and stairs, with stair lifts for emergencies. Each floor has its own service room with a fridge, toaster and laundry facilities.

The accommodation ranges from individual flats, both single, and double, to studio rooms. All are en-suite with a shower or wet room. Communal bathrooms on two floors include baths with assisted shower seats.

A number of flats have balconies and views, some of the sea, some overlooking the local croquet lawns and cricket pitch.

Communal rooms on the ground floor include a dining room, lounge and a large meeting room, which is used by residents and is also rented out for community use.

Completing our home is a communal lounge, dining room, a small library, sheltered rear courtyard  with parking for scooters and small, sunny west facing front garden for residents to use at their leisure for relaxation or to entertain visiting friends and family who are welcome to visit whenever suits.

We also have a large entertainment room which we use for different events and rent to various other groups, thus creating excellent connections with our local community.

We love to celebrate, be it St Patrick’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas or a Royal occasion. Birthdays are always marked with a cake, a round of” happy birthday”, and a glass of something special.

Abbeyfield Court is managed by Abbeyfield Sidmouth Society.
