Welcome to our house

A 19^th century Grade 2 listed building, Abbeyfield House in Llandeilo aims to provide a peaceful, friendly atmosphere for all where residents are encouraged to remain as independent as possible. Full of character, it has a colourful history as a hotel, a vicarage and even use as barracks for soldiers during the Rebecca Riots! Today, following a major conversion and renovation project in the 1990s, our home provides residents with the privacy of their own affordable, high quality accommodation, combined with the companionship of others.

Consisting of 10 rooms - most of which are en suite – our fantastic staff ensure Abbeyfield House is warm, comfortable and safe. Every room we offer comes unfurnished, allowing you to bring your own furniture and personal items to make it your own.

A range of facilities are available which can be personalised to meet your individual needs so that you can enjoy freedom, security and peace of mind.

We provide two healthy and delicious meals a day, (plus a light breakfast) which are prepared and cooked daily at the house. Our qualified cooks pride themselves on providing excellent food which is all freshly prepared and, where possible, using locally sourced produce.

Meal times are an important part of the house, as it’s when we all get together to have a chat enjoying great food and great company. 

Situated on the edge of the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park, Llandeilo is a picturesque market town. At Abbeyfield House, we are just a short walk from the local train station as well as plenty of other amenities such as a post office, library and pharmacy. For the nature lovers, we are also lucky to have the Dinefwr National Trust site and stunning River Towy right on our doorstep.

In keeping with the Abbeyfield ethos, we like you to be as independent as you can be and do as much as you can - but we are here if you need us!
