Marjorie Baker House is a modern, purpose-built unit of just 15 spacious one-bedroom apartments, centrally located in Colyton. Each apartment boasts its own en-suite bathroom, kitchen area and living room. We provide a peaceful, friendly atmosphere where residents can remain as independent as possible – it’s a safe and secure home from home with reassuring support from our caring house staff and volunteers.

Two home-cooked meals are provided daily in our comfortable dining room. The welcoming lounge area opens onto a beautiful well-tended garden. We offer a range of regular social activities.

Our attractive respite room is available for short stays and recuperation.

The local area 

Marjorie Baker House is situated in the heart of Colyton, a delightful small town, steeped in history, set amidst the rolling hills and valleys of East Devon, and very close to the scenic Axe estuary and Jurassic coastline.

Set in a quiet cul-de-sac location, local amenities are nearby and easily accessed. The town’s shops include general stores and post office, pharmacy, hairdresser, pubs and cafes. Also nearby are the community library, health centre and the Parish Church.

There are many walks locally, which give wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the area.
Colyton is a thriving community offering many clubs, societies and events to satisfy a wide range of interests.

There are convenient public transport links to the town. Local bus service routes link Colyton to the nearby towns of Axminster, Honiton and Seaton. Community transport is also available and is regularly used by our residents.
