At Speedwell Court we take pride in providing residential care as well as dementia care designed to meet the individual needs of residents and improve quality of life. Our staff take time to create detailed care plans for individuals by working closely with them and their families to ensure health and care needs are continually met.

We also provide ongoing training to staff to ensure our residents individual needs are met and our approach to dementia always reflects best practice.

We are looking for caring professionals to join our friendly team at Speedwell Court in Southampton to fill roles such as Care and Senior Care Assistants and General Assistants.

Care Assistants

£9.25 - £9.75 per hour

The role of a Care Assistant involves creating an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming, ensuring that every resident enjoys life with us to the full. Duties will include providing assistance to residents with their personal care to include washing, dressing and assisting residents in all aspects of their daily lives as required.

Previous experience for this role is not essential as you will receive on the job support and training. Upon commencement, Care Assistants must be willing to undertake training to achieve NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent.

Care Team Coordinators

£11.25 - £11.75 per hour

Closely supporting the Home Manager, you will actively participate and supervise in the delivery of care to the residents. Responsibilities will include overseeing all the resident care plans in line with their preferences and assisting in the safe control of medication to residents.

Extensive previous care experience in a similar role in registered care setting, together with an NVQ2 and/or working towards NVQ3 or equivalent is essential. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator, good organiser and have the ability to work flexibly, both using their own initiative and within a care team.

General Assistants

£9.05 per hour

A General Assistant’s role consists of cleaning the communal areas of the house, assisting the Housekeeper with meal service and supporting the residents.

We are looking for both full-time and part-time general assistants, who are dedicated to promoting resident’s health and wellbeing and enjoyment of life.
