Offering a peaceful, caring and friendly atmosphere, Abbeyfield House in Bangor, County Down was opened in 2016 following major refurbishments. Our staff encourage our residents to remain as independent as possible and pride ourselves on making you feel right at home with support when you need it.

Our house is small, giving it a family feel, accommodating seven residents. All of our rooms are en-suite and come with a level deck shower, offering high quality accommodation, and come unfurnished to allow you to customise your room to your own taste and make it feel like home. For couples wishing to live together, rent two rooms and use one as your bedroom and the other as your living room to create a comfortable home.

Spend time in our bright and airy lounge overlooking the busy Hamilton Road, a great place to sit and watch the world go by or meet with other residents with a cup of tea and some chatter.

Ideally located, Abbeyfield House is close to Bangor town centre with regular transport links. Bangor is a beautiful Victorian seaside town, 13 miles away from Belfast. Smell the sea air, enjoy coastal views, explore picturesque streets, admire the green spaces and rocky shoreline, while away the time at the busy sailing marina or visit the Deiniol Shopping Centre where you’ll find a selection of fashion clothing shops, restaurants, homeware shops, supermarket and health and beauty salon.

At Abbeyfield House we believe that’s important that our residents enjoy later life, and our staff always encourage residents to take part in and get involved with our range of regular activities and entertainment.
