Welcome to our house

Situated in a quiet part of town, Abbeyfield House on St. Stephen Street provides ten rooms with en-suite facilities. These comfortable, private spaces are equipped with bed sitting rooms plus facilities for making breakfast and light snacks. Accommodation is available on the ground floor, and a stairlift is available to take you to the first floor if needed.

Our bright and welcoming lounge and dining room are perfect for spending time with other residents. We also have laundry facilities and two bathrooms complete with bath chairs available for you to use should you wish.

The house has a beautiful well maintained garden with seating areas which is the perfect place for relaxing in the great outdoors on a sunny day. If you enjoy walking, we have the magnificent Towneley Hall and its extensive grounds and parkland just a short walk away. We are also close to local shops, hairdressers, pharmacies, the doctors surgery and other amenities.

The meals provided here are home cooking at its very best. Our delicious menu can be adapted to account for your likes, dislikes, dietary requirements and intolerances. We offer a large meal at lunchtime, with a lighter option later in the day. We find this suits our residents and leaves them with very little meal preparation to do for themselves however we provide milk, butter, bread and fresh fruit so that you can make breakfasts and snacks.

Our residents often spend time together in the lounge area and our spacious conservatory, chatting or playing dominoes and other games.

We offer free wifi in communal areas, allowing you to stay connected to friends and family.

Abbeyfield House on St. Stephen Street has a very welcoming atmosphere that makes our residents and their visitors feel right at home. Spend time in the privacy of your own home, with the option of company and companionship when you want it.
