We are looking to recruit Day and Night Care Team Coordinators in the brand new development of Speedwell Court who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach to caring for older people, either through previous roles in social care or in other roles.

Speedwell Court not only provides residential care but also welcomes residents with dementia. We have designed the home to meet the individual needs of residents and improve quality of life.

Your passion for looking after the needs of older people means that these things come naturally to you. And your really keen to develop your career in elderly care provision. You also enjoy working with people, and form strong working relationships easily.

Closely supporting the Home Manager, you will actively participate and supervise in the delivery of care to the residents, ensuring that their physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs are met. Responsibilities will include overseeing all the resident care plans in line with their preferences and assisting in the safe control of medication to residents. Day Seniors/Team Leaders will also be required to assist in the induction and support of new care staff at the home. 

Extensive previous care experience in a similar role in registered care setting, together with an NVQ2 and/or working towards NVQ3 or equivalent is essential. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator, good organiser and have the ability to work flexibly, both using their own initiative and within a care team.

The ideal candidate will be able to communicate and interact well with people, be comfortable working as part of a team and can empathise and understand the needs of older people.
