Abbeyfield England acts as a national body for over 100 independent Abbeyfield Member Societies across England and Wales who serve their local communities with housing and care services. It is our mission to enhance the quality of life for older people through high-quality accommodation in a stimulating environment to maintain a socially active life. Our homes are closely linked to their community to enhance not only the lives of our residents, but older people living locally. From trips to the seaside to festivities throughout Christmas, Abbeyfield's connection to the local community provides events that all older people can enjoy.
We have a variety of job and career opportunities, both full and part time, so you can juggle your work around your other important family commitments. In particular we are looking for care workers, housekeepers, cooks, domestics and cleaners.
It depends on the role you're applying for. Our senior carers and managers of course need relevant experience. If you're starting out on a career, what’s really important is your passion for other people's welfare. Equally, if you're looking for a more fulfilling career, customer service skills gained in other sectors, such as hospitality, entertainment or retail can be useful.
