Ivy House’s newest resident, Susie is an extremely talented artist, originally from Middlesex who recently moved into Ivy House. Soon after moving in, staff and fellow residents discovered the talented lady that she is!

Despite being a full time dress maker by trade, at the age of 30, Susie started to paint watercolours, it was then that she discovered her love for art and incredible skills in painting. When she moved to Minehead she feel in love with Exmoor and just had to paint it, so she picked up her acrylic paint, paint brushes and a blank canvas and got started.

Pictured to the right, Susie is holding two beautiful paintings – one of Porlock Weir Harbour and one of Exmoor fields. She puts her whole heart and soul into every painting with great patience in completing them.

Alisha – Housing Officer at Ivy House said,

Her paintings are simply beautiful and even more magnificent in person! We are hoping to have a few on show throughout the corridors of Ivy House to show them off! We are so very proud to have her as our resident, she is an amazing artist.

Susie has sold some of her paintings in the past and you can see why. Keep up the great work Susie, we can't wait to see more of your creations in the future!
