Staying at home | Our activity resources
We've created some unique resources in order to help older people keep busy and engaged whilst staying at home.
We've created some unique resources in order to help older people keep busy and engaged whilst staying at home.
With the advice to stay at home in place we've created a print-friendly activity pack for you to download and complete either yourself or together with family. From fun recipes to challenging crosswords, there is something for everyone in our activity pack.
Also included is a bingo card full of activities from gardening to reading, learning a new skill to baking. The idea is to try an activity and cross it off once done - share your photos with us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and #AbbeyfieldActivities - let us know if you complete them all!
Throughout the next few weeks, we will be sharing fun ideas and activities with our residents happening within our houses and homes which you can also use as inspiration for things to do at home. At this difficult time, our residents and staff have already been getting creative on how to spend the time together.
Just this week, residents at Winnersh were playing with a model aeroplane and soaking up the sun.
At Pratt House, residents were enjoying some peaceful colouring.
And at Speedwell Court, residents took part in flower arranging, bringing a smile to everyone's faces.
Click the Download your pack button below or choose what you want to download from the list below. We also have our own NEW 23 page activity book for you to enjoy. Inside there are more crosswords, brainteasers and some colouring sheets. Download your book below!
Each item from our activity pack is available to download below.
Along with the pack we want to share some other ways to keep occupied.
We've listed some great resources and ideas below and we will continue to update our blog with posts on exercise, activities and more, so stay posted!
