Sanderstead Society

The Abbeyfield Sanderstead Society is a charity that provides accommodation for fit and able older people on a non-profit basis. A registered charity founded by members of the Sanderstead United Reformed Church in 1969.

Abbeyfield Sanderstead provides sheltered accommodation for elderly residents. It's our aim to offer a high standard of sheltered housing for active older people. The house is a 'home from home' with a modern feel and a large well-tended garden.

Our home is located in a quiet residential road yet close enough to local amenities such as bus, train, shops, post office, doctors, library and churches.

Abbeyfield House

Set in the popular picturesque village of Sanderstead, famous for its Grade 1 listed All Saint’s Church, Abbeyfield House offers high quality sheltered housing where residents have the freedom to live an independent lifestyle, in a warm friendly family atmosphere.

Abbeyfield Sanderstead was established in 1969 by members of the Sanderstead United Reformed Church and St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church.  In 2004, our home was extensively renovated and now comprises nine en-suite rooms, lift to the first floor, dining area in the atrium and laundry facilities.
