Wessex Society Ltd
The Wessex society run a number of sheltered homes designed for older, but independent people. Most sheltered houses have between 8 and 14 residents and a team of house staff who provide quality home cooked meals.
Our largest house is Westbourne House, which opened in November 2009. There are 25 en-suite 2 room apartments including some studios. Although each house is different, they all offer the same high standards of safety, security and service, and all houses are non-smoking.
The society aims to run all homes to a high standard and every house offers a tranquil, positive communal environment with the freedom for residents to come and go as they please without restrictions or rules, except a few simple house courtesies to ensure all residents can live in a comfortable, peaceful environment.
