Billericay Society Ltd run Archer House, a purpose built sheltered house providing supported accommodation for older people in Billericay, Essex.
The Abbeyfield Billericay Society was formed in 1975. After many years of searching, a suitable venue became available on land adjacent to the Emmanuel Church.
Construction commenced in 1985 and Archer House, purpose built to provide supported accommodation for older people, was officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal in 1986.
We are situated very close to the High Street in Billericay town centre, which has a good variety of shops. It is all on one level so easily accessible for those with any mobility problems.
Our residents are very happy here and often tell us, once they have settled in, that they wished they had moved in earlier.
