Bishop's Castle & District Society Ltd

The Abbeyfield Bishop's Castle run a sheltered home, Abbeyfield House, for the elderly, and are part of the national Abbeyfield movement. Our sheltered home offers supported living for retired people.

Formed in 1956 Abbeyfield has grown to be one of the largest organisations in the voluntary sector serving older people.

Abbeyfield Bishop's Castle is made up of both volunteers and paid staff. Our group of dedicated volunteers make sure every resident feels at home, while our paid staff organise the day-to-day running in each of the houses and provide meals and support.
