About North Northumberland Extra Care Society
The North Northumberland Society is a charity that provides home from home accommodation for older people on a not-for-profit basis. Our home was purpose built and offers easy access to all facilities. We are committed to providing a quality of care, comfort and services that we would all want to receive. The home has been designed by specialists and was purpose built to meet the needs of the clients.
In addition to constantly providing the highest possible standards of individual care to residents, Abbeyfield offers a safe and welcoming environment with tranquil decor and comfortable furnishings, and every effort is made to create a cosy and homely atmosphere so that clients can relax and feel comfortable within their home, their privacy is respected and their room is their personal space.
Each resident has their own spacious bedroom, we are working towards en suite facilities in all rooms but some resident care plans identify assistance may be needed therefore larger bathroom and toilet facilities are still available.
From the beautiful, peaceful gardens to the spacious decorated lounge areas, residents and their families can relax in the knowledge that we are dedicated to providing the best possible level of attention at all times.

Abbeyfield House
Our purpose built home offers 25 spacious rooms which have been designed, created and built to provide a comfortable environment for all of our residents. In our home, you'll also find a number of spacious lounges which are perfect for when you want a quiet moment alone, or fancy spending time with other residents, friends or family for a catch up.
