At Abbeyfield South Downs we offer a peaceful, friendly atmosphere in seven sheltered houses for the older people along the Sussex coast. Our aim is to enable you to continue enjoying your independence while benefiting from support and companionship.

At the heart of our ethos is the desire to combat loneliness among older people. We do this by bringing them together in shared warm, comfortable, accommodation where home-cooked meals are available.

We make it easy for you to live the life of your choice without the everyday worries of running your own home.

Beamsley House is a large Victorian style semi-detached house, where we provide a caring and friendly atmosphere and is a place where our residents can remain as independent as possible.

Lade House is a stunning converted cottage style property which offers eight studio rooms with en-suite facilities. In the house you’ll find it to be a light and airy home, with accessible gardens which back onto Gildredge Park.

Abbeyfield House consists of two recently renovated three story Edwardian style semi-detached properties that were joined together in 2017 to provide more space and improved facilities for our residents.

Abbeyfield House was developed by joining three terraced houses together in Cadogan Gardens. It now provides sheltered housing for 15 people and comprises of single studio en-suite rooms, all with wifi and Sky TV.
