Waltham Abbey Society Ltd run and manage Warburton & Clarisse Lodge, a sheltered house providing support and companionship for older people in Waltham Abbey, Essex.
The Society was started in 1963 with one house, Welcome Cottage, with a large orchard to the rear.
In 1986 Warburton Lodge was built, and was joined by Clarisse Lodge in 1999. Welcome Cottage was closed and the two houses were joined by a bright conservatory, making a large home with 22 rooms.

Located in Waltham Abbey, Warburton and Clarisse Lodge was built in 1986 and extended by joining it with another house in 2006. It comprises 22 ensuite flats and has extensive grounds with a summer house and patios.
Two delicious daily meals are provided with breakfast taken in residents' own rooms, allowing for an easy start to the day at your own pace. For added peace of mind, we are staffed 24 hours a day with a member of staff awake at night.
