Features
Purpose built in 1994 and extended in 2004 and 2008, Chirnside House provides care for older people, and can now accommodate residents who are living with dementia. We have a philosophy that encourages independence while providing the highest quality of care required.
All rooms are single with en-suite facilities, and residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture, possessions and personal items to make their new space feel like home right away.
The house and gardens are wheelchair accessible and provide extensive communal space for the residents and their guests to use. Our dining room, lounge and seating areas are the perfect place to sit and relax while chatting away to fellow residents.
We have an extensive programme of activities which residents are welcome to take part in as and when they wish. We encourage all residents to follow your own interests and hobbies, both in the home and the local area.
Understanding that moving home is a huge decision to make, we are happy to offer introductory visits to assist as much as possible with this process.
At Chirnside House, we are dedicated to the promotion of your health, personal and social care. When residents arrive here, our team will work with the individual and their family to formulate a personalised care plan that identifies your individual needs and requirements.
Chirnside House is managed by Abbeyfield Lancaster Society
