Features
We will support you in making your own decisions about how you want to live your life. We recognise the importance of maintaining relationships with family and friends. We support residents in pursuing hobbies and interests by offering a variety of activities from in house entertainment to regular outings.
Tamar House is located on the outskirts of Plymouth and accommodates 28 residents in single rooms (24 en-suite).
It is purpose built and has a lovely garden, with great facilities and room for family or friends to stay overnight.
When you move in we will discuss your personal needs and wishes with you so that we can develop a care plan for you. This care plan belongs to you and it will include all the things that we need to do to support you. The aim of your care plan is to help you maintain your independence and wellbeing to ensure that you enjoy the best quality of life possible. We will review your personal needs with you regularly to make sure that your care plan remains up to date.
All meals and drinks are provided at Tamar House, and we offer a a varied wholesome and appealing menu. Whenever possible we do our own home baking using fresh produce, and we will ask you what you like to ensure your favourite foods are on the menu.
Variety is the spice of life and with that in mind we like to programme a wide range of activities for our residents. We aim for a diverse range, based upon resident's interests so they can spend their time engaged in something meaningful and enjoyable.
Residents may be able to bring a pet (please discuss with the House Manager).
Tamar House is managed by Abbeyfield Tamar Society.
