Features
Located in the beautiful city of Norwich, the only English city that is in a National Park, part of the Norfolk Broads, with the river Wensum winding through the heart of the city, Abbeyfield House is a stunning property nestled within the magnificent grounds of the Norman Norwich Cathedral.
We have been providing sheltered housing in our Grade II listed building since 1973 and have nine good sized rooms each with their own en-suite or designated private bathroom. Our dedicated, caring and professional team of staff make the home friendly and welcoming.
Be part of the family; our residents come and go as they please but come home and share meals together in our communal dining room, a great way to learn more about and support each other, providing companionship.
Many of our residents enjoy a stroll around the cathedral or spending time in the beautifully well maintained garden.
We're in a wonderful location, Norwich is the UK's best preserved medieval city with plenty to keep you entertained. For those looking for history, you'll discover medieval alleys and courtyards with cobbled streets, the exquisite Norwich Castle, a brilliant arts and culture centre with outstanding art collections, and The Waterside Theatre. Norwich was rated a UK top 10 shopping destination with two malls, five department stores, all the high street shops and brands you'll instantly recognise, as well as a fantastic range of independent shops and a mixture of old pubs and modern bars, and excellent selection of restaurants you'll be spoilt for choice.
