Features
Densham Court provides sheltered housing for ten people. It is a purpose built bungalow and consists of 10 rooms - seven with en-suite toilet and hand basin and two with shower en-suite.
All rooms include a small built in modern kitchen area with integral microwave and all are fitted with new carpet. Rooms are provided unfurnished so residents can bring their own furniture. The house also has a large easy to use wet shower room and another small modern bathroom plus a laundry room.
A team of four housekeepers provide delicious home cooked meal with lunch and ‘high tea’ served in the communal dining room, making meal times a social occasion. All food is prepared from fresh ingredients and cooked by one of our housekeepers. Residents make breakfast in their own rooms giving flexibility to start the day whenever they wish.
We have gardens both to the front and back of the house and residents are encouraged to potter whenever they wish or just sit and enjoy. We also have a visiting hairdresser and chiropodist.
A Careline call system is provided for the use of residents 24 hours a day. Please be aware that the house is not staffed overnight and should there be an emergency between 6pm and 9am the Careline call system should be used.
The house is very close to local amenities in the centre of our small market town where you will find cafes, hairdressers, banks, shops and a lively market in the town square every Wednesday.
Abbeyfield House is managed by Abbeyfield South West Society.
