Features
Abbeyfield House is located in the historic area of Henleaze, offers you Victorian splendour close to local amenities. Historically the building was four large terraced houses, which have now been combined into one, grand residence.
We have recently refurbished our communal areas as well as the 24 comfortable one-bedroom and studio flats. Each Flat has gas central heating, en-suite facilities, and kitchenettes. Delicious home-cooked meals are provided every day, and there are facilities for making breakfast in your own room should you wish.
The beautiful garden room is the hub of the house, sunshine streams through the windows and you get a real feeling of warmth, there are always activities on offer and you will generally find someone in the garden room to share a game of scrabble with or enjoy a cuppa and a chat.
In summer, the doors are often open on to the patio where you can stroll out to enjoy your morning coffee whilst admiring the beautiful flowers in the 4 inter-connected landscaped gardens.
Recently residents showed interest in creating a fitness room in a vacant space and have worked with staff to create a really useful area that all residents can enjoy.
Situated in a fabulous location just two miles outside Bristol city centre, the house is very close to the shops and cafes of Henleaze Village and Westbury Upon Trym. Bristol’s famous Durdham Downs are directly opposite the house, so you can enjoy glorious walks all year round. Nearby transport takes you into Westbury Village; or Bristol centre in the opposite direction is just a 20-minute bus ride. Here, you can take advantage of the wonderful shops of Cabot Circus; museums; or several theatres and concert halls.
Abbeyfield House is managed by Abbeyfield Bristol and Keynsham Society.
