Southern Oaks Society
There are a number of Abbeyfield houses in this area, grouped under the Abbeyfield Southern Oaks name.
Each has its own character, and characters. Each has a team of professional staff and volunteers, dedicated to ensuring a better quality of life for those in residence, and in the wider community.
Abbeyfield Southern Oaks is a registered charity and operates on a not for profit basis. We share fundamental principles with the national and international Abbeyfield Society, all revolving around the support, care, lifestyle and wellbeing of older people.
All Abbeyfield’s houses and care homes support the values and preferences of their residents and are open equally to people of all ethnic, religious and social backgrounds.

Abbeyfield House
Situated in the historic town of Purley, Abbeyfield House offers high quality sheltered housing where our residents are encouraged to remain as independent as possible, with support when you need it from our caring, dedicated and professional team of staff.
Abbeyfield House
Our home is made up of nine en-suite bedrooms which were renovated in 2013. The house also has a large communal kitchen and dining room, lounge and garden.

In total we have seven en-suite bedrooms, plus an extra living space for our live-in housekeeper. All rooms come unfurnished allowing residents to bring their favourite pieces of furniture, ornaments, photos and trinkets from home.
