Helensburgh Society have one house, Barclay Smith House, which is a sheltered house for older people with excellent links within the community and is a wonderful place for you to find companionship and be supported to remain independent.

About Helensburgh Society

Barclay Smith House, Abbeyfield Helensburgh's supported housing for the elderly, is named after its most generous local benefactor. In the late 1960s Colonel Edward Alan Barclay-Smith donated the house to the Society.

The property consists of eleven flats and is within walking distance of the town of Helensburgh, which provides lots of shops, cafés and a gym. It is close to a lovely promenade overlooking the Clyde and beyond.
