Features
Located in the desirable, quiet and leafy residential suburb of New Wanstead, Abbeyfield House provides sheltered housing with support from kind, caring and professional staff. We have good public transport links close by and our house is located close to Wanstead High Street, filled with an array of shops, supermarkets, cafes, day centres, churches and pubs.
Built in 1965, Abbeyfield House consists of 10 rooms, which are all unfurnished so you can personalise your room with your belongings and make it feel like a home from home. All of our rooms come with an en-suite toilet and a kitchenette allowing you to have breakfast at your own pace; and we provide tasty and nutritious home cooked meals at lunch and teatime, served in the cosy communal dining room with French doors overlooking our well-tended and attractive garden.
Our library provides a quiet place to sit or read a book, or you can spend time in our beautiful spacious garden where you can spend time with family or friends or getting to know other residents, and relax in our lovely communal lounge.
We understand how important security and safety is, so we have a great team of staff who support our residents and are backed up by a 24-hour careline system to provide residents and their family with peace of mind.
