Located in Tunbridge Wells, Abbeyfield House was developed by joining three terraced houses together in Cadogan Gardens. It now provides sheltered housing for 14 people and comprises of single studio en-suite rooms spread over three floors.
Our house has a warm and friendly atmosphere, where friendships are easy to form with other residents, as we offer lunch and supper in our communal dining area, as well as coffee mornings and afternoon teas for those who would like companionship from other residents.
Situated in the heart of Tunbridge Wells town, Abbeyfield House has easy access to shops, theatres, and restaurants, as well as, churches, post office and social centre, all of which are within walking distance.
In close proximity you’ll find the famous Pantiles and chalybeate spring, although Tunbridge Wells is also well known for its wonderful gardens include Dunorlan Park, an award-winning park; formerly a garden of a mansion, it has a beautiful lake, wildlife, flowers and a Grecian temple, or visit Spa Valley railway, where you can ride on a heritage steam train, stopping at historic stations along the way, or enjoy fish and chips or afternoon tea onboard.
With excellent transport links, you could also visit the town’s largest theatre, Assembly Hall, where you’ll find a varied selection of events ranging from classical music, comedies, family events and an annual pantomime.
