Our location
Surrounded by beautiful gardens, Loveday House is a stunning sheltered house offering a warm and friendly welcome to really make you feel at home. The house was built in 1995 and is situated near to the Lake District with its breathtaking views and dynamic market towns. Loveday House is in the heart of a popular, well liked location.
The house is situated close to the town which is a short walk away. Here you will find many shops, cafes and a market with good local bus routes.
Our home
Our home has 10 ensuite rooms and an upstairs two-bedroom flat which has a self-contained kitchen. We also have a guest room should your family and friends wish to stay over after a visit. Our rooms are unfurnished, allowing you to bring your own furniture and belongings to create a real home from home environment. There are two communal kitchens that our residents have access to if they wish to make a light meal or snacks.
We have a lounge and reception area that are quiet spaces for our residents to spend time relaxing or catch up with friends and family. Our stunning garden is beautiful and really makes you feel at home, it is a perfect place to spend time watching nature and visiting wildlife.
Activities and events
We have plenty going on for you to get involved with if you wish, whether that be one of our regular outings to the local areas, trips to cafes for coffee and cake, or enjoying one of the many local performers that come into the house.
We celebrate occasions such as Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Pancake Day, Ash Wednesday, Easter and Christmas where we all decorate the house together, put on some music and have some seasonal food. We also like to make each residents' birthday a special celebration.
Food
We pride ourselves on the delicious food served here; with two home-cooked meals provided each day and tea and coffee being served in the mornings and afternoons. Meal times are special at Loveday House; they really bring everyone together and the food is much loved by all.
