Features
Milverton Lodge is a traditional detached house built in 1920 and renovated in 1980. In 2017, further renovation work was carried out to the property which now looks very attractive and is very much loved by our residents.
There are 17 rooms which are a combination of one bedroom apartments and studio flats. All rooms are unfurnished, with a kitchenette and most have en-suite facilities available. The lodge has a communal lounge, laundry facilities and a dining area.
We have some lovely gardens which encircle the houses, you will find seating areas set out for you to sit and enjoy some fresh air.
The house is located in Formby Village, famous for its National Trust area; a red squirrel reserve and its stunning beach. We are close to the centre which is a nice walk to access the local shops and the local station. We are also on the main bus route.
Every day we make time for morning coffee where the residents get together for a catch up and chat about their day. We have monthly bingo on a Wednesday, Knit and Natter on a Saturday afternoon and Sunday Afternoon Tea which is held fortnightly.
Residents enjoy our garden party which we organise each year to celebrate Abbeyfield's birthday.
We aim to organise two to three trips a year which include visits to local garden centres and the Blackpool Illuminations. Our residents are always invited to the annual Christmas carol service at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral.
This property is managed by Abbeyfield Living Society (a trading name of The Abbeyfield Society).
