Built in 1809, The Old House provides sheltered housing in one of Ewell’s original properties. Located a short walk to Ewell Village, The Old House not only offers friendship, security and support but also a wonderful lifestyle.
We truly love our home at The Old House, with just 10 rooms, some en-suite, it honestly feels like you’re part of a family here. Della, our housekeeper, keeps everything running smoothly at the house and is a wonderful cook, creating delicious meals for all of our residents and any visiting friends and family.
All of our bedrooms come unfurnished allowing residents to bring their own furniture from home and add a personal touch. If residents would like to redecorate this can be arranged.
Outdoor living is a big part of life at The Old House. Our garden wraps around two sides of the house and is partially walled giving residents privacy and security. We have a veranda with chairs for residents to sit out under the shade and watch the wildlife and we recently built a new patio into the lawn for those wanting a little more sunlight.
The Old House is managed by Abbeyfield Southern Oaks Society.
