Our home
Sandwood Care Home not only provides residential care but also welcomes residents with dementia, making it a top choice for care homes in Nottingham. We have designed the home to meet the individual needs of residents and improve quality of life. Our staff will take care to create detailed care plans for individuals by working closely with them and their families to ensure health and care needs are continually met.
At Sandwood Residential Care Home, our fantastic team will help support you in making your own decisions about how you want to live your life. We will provide dementia care with fully trained staff to ensure their individual approach to dementia always reflects best practice. We recognise the importance of maintaining relationships with your family and friends and will support you in pursuing any hobbies and interests you have.
Activities and events
When considering care homes in Nottingham, it's important to choose a home that offers a variety of activities and events with a sense of community that keeps our residents engaged.
By getting to know residents and learning about your interests and hobbies, we organise a varied programme of events and social activities which you are welcome to join in with if you wish. We have regular film afternoons, visits from the local library, and fantastic live music from local performers. We also arrange trips on a regular basis, taking in suggestions from residents about the places they would like to visit.
In the past we have visited garden centres, gone on river boat trips, and been to the local theatre to enjoy some incredible shows. At Sandwood Care Home, we aim to ensure that our fantastic social calendar includes something for everyone, with every opportunity to pursue existing hobbies and try out some new things too.
We encourage residents to decorate the rooms to their liking with their own furniture and personal items to help feel right at home.
