Features
Purpose-built with stunning rural views of a lake and farmland, Staveley House is a residential care home in the charming ancient town of Dalton-in-Furness, offering 24 hour care from highly trained and dedicated staff.
All of our bedrooms have their own en-suite bathrooms, with most overlooking a small tarn bursting with wildlife. They come fully furnished, but can be personalised with your own possessions, pictures and ornaments. Feel free to bring a TV or radio if you wish and stay connected to loved ones with wifi available throughout. Our home also has additional communal assisted bathrooms for those that require them.
Relax or enjoy the company of others in one of our six delightful communal lounges and activity rooms. Take in the fresh air and stunning views from our open air balcony or stunning garden, which has plenty of outdoor seating and patio areas. We have two raised flower beds available for use if you’re interested in gardening, or simply want to try out a new hobby.
We are situated within a short distance of bus stops for links to nearby Barrow in Furness, Ulverston and Kendal. The train station is a little further away and has services Carlisle, Lancaster and the main West Coast Line. In the local area we have plenty of pubs, a supermarket, post office and a variety of traditional shops. We are also close by to the Dalton Castle and South Lakes Safari Zoo.
You can enjoy an extensive activities and entertainment programme here, meaning there is always something for you to get involved with if you wish. Try your hand at flower arranging or get creative at one of our arts and crafts sessions. Stay active at our exercise classes and Music & Movement sessions, or get competitive with a game of scrabble. We occasionally arrange trips in the local area to theatres, shops and restaurants.
We provide three delicious meals a day which are served in our pleasant large communal dining room, making meal times a truly social occasion within the home. Choose from two tasty and nutritious options at each meal time.
