Features
Our Cecil St Abbeyfield House is set at the end of a quiet residential road in the town of Lytham. Originally comprising two adjacent Victorian semi’s, it has 11 ensuite rooms fitted with carpets, curtains and modern storage units which combine wardrobe and kitchen space with a small fridge and sink. The rooms are otherwise unfurnished so residents can have their own furniture and possessions around them.
We have a communal dining room, comfortable conservatory and outside seating for summer days where residents can relax or socialise with others. The main meal is served at lunchtime each day, with afternoon tea, cooked and served by our friendly staff using fresh produce. Food is also provided for residents to breakfast in their own room.
Lytham St Annes comprises the two original towns set on the Fylde coast just south of Blackpool. “Leafy Lytham” is famous for its historic Lytham Hall and the picturesque windmill on the front. St Annes has a pier and long sandy beach. The house is to near to Lytham town centre and within walking distance of the sea front. There are also nearby bus stops with services to St Annes, Preston and Blackpool, with a wide range of local attractions including parks and a boating lake.
Birthdays and special events are celebrated by residents with appropriate festivities or trips to a local restaurant. Regular activities are offered for those who wish to participate.
This house is currently managed by the Abbeyfield Lytham St Annes Society which has been operating for almost 60 years. Plans are currently underway to merge with the Silverdale Society in the near future.
