Great Missenden & District Society Ltd

We believe passionately that high standards of accommodation, quality of life and the rights of the individual should never be compromised.

Our shared beliefs are:

- older people have an important role to play among their friends and in their community
- overcoming loneliness and insecurity can make all the difference to an older person's wellbeing and quality of life
- local people have an essential part to play in helping older people in the community

The Abbeyfield Great Missenden & District Society was formed to provide a sheltered home with companionship for older people. Our supported house was purpose-built 35 years ago for ten residents. Since then it has been enlarged, modified and upgraded to provide a high standard of accommodation for 15 residents.

The society is an independent charity run by a board of enthusiastic volunteer trustees. We are affiliated to the Abbeyfield Society and support its aims and beliefs.
