Beautiful garden
Get out in to nature to stretch your legs, chat with friends or soak up the sun.
A beautiful Victorian building that was previously used as the residence of the Vicar to All Saints Parish Church, Church House has been a home for independent older people since the late 1960s.
Located in the seaside town of Ryde, Church House is conveniently situated on the main Ryde to Newport bus route with plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes just a short 10 minute walk away. Often referred to as the ‘Cathedral of the Isle of Wight,’ the stunning Parish Church of Ryde sits just next door to the house with a cinema, golf club and library all close by. Known as the ‘Gateway to the Isle of Wight,’ Ryde has fantastic transport links with the mainland; the passenger ferry from Portsmouth docks at the end of the Victorian pier, whilst the hovercraft from Southsea lands on the beach alongside the pier. At Church House, you are just a 20-minute walk from the beautiful Ryde esplanade.
The house has eight bedsit style rooms, each with a small kitchen area and en-suite shower room. There is a communal lounge and dining room, as well as a peaceful garden where you can relax and take in the fresh air.
We make every effort to keep our houses as homely as possible and we have a truly friendly and caring atmosphere within the home. Be it through fun activities, celebrating special occasions or trips out, we try hard to make sure each day at Church House is a little different. With the added benefit of a House Manager who lives within the home, we ensure residents can enjoy a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment where you can continue to live a happy and stress free life.
Meal times are an important part of the day where the whole house comes together. We provide two healthy and delicious meals each day, which are cooked and prepared within the home.
