Our location

Welcome to Roundhay, a charming, sheltered house located in Guildford. Built in 1983 and renovated in 2009, our house offers a peaceful and friendly atmosphere for residents. We have eight bed-sitting rooms of varying sizes, including mobility standard properties, ensuring comfortable and accessible living spaces.

Roundhay is conveniently situated just a mile from Guildford town centre, with a local bus service in close proximity. Our location provides easy access to a multitude of interesting sites, including Guildford Cathedral, Guildford Castle, and Watts Gallery, among others. Residents can explore these attractions and enjoy the wonderful cultural scene that Guildford has to offer.

At Roundhay, we want residents to live a truly independent lifestyle knowing they have the support of our care professionals, if needed. Our professional and caring house staff and volunteers are always available to assist residents, ensuring they feel at home and receive the care they require.

Roundhay has a relaxed atmosphere where residents are encouraged to invite visitors and family, with parking available at the front of the building.

Our rooms

Our rooms are designed with safety and comfort in mind. Each room features an emergency call system with a personal alarm pendant connected to an external monitoring system for added peace of mind.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing their own small furniture, ornaments, and personal effects, creating a space that truly feels like home. All of our rooms at Roundhay have en-suite facilities, providing privacy and comfort for our residents. Additionally, each room is equipped with a kitchenette area, giving residents the convenience and flexibility to prepare their own breakfast and snacks throughout the day, which allows residents to remain independent and start the day at their own pace.

We offer two flatlets, which can accommodate couples, and are designed to provide a cosy and independent living experience for residents seeking a comfortable and private living space. These flatlets feature separate sitting room, bedroom, and shower room, giving residents room to relax and unwind.

We understand the importance of welcoming and accommodating visitors at Roundhay. That's why we provide excellent guest facilities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for our residents' visitors. Whether it's family members, friends, or loved ones, we strive to create a welcoming environment where guests can spend quality time with our residents.

Communal spaces

Roundhay features communal spaces where residents can socialise and enjoy each other's company. Our large, attractive garden provides a perfect outdoor setting for relaxation and entertainment.
